Travel idea for backpackers: the cheapest way to get from the Baltics to Abu Dhabi (from €96)
A budget-friendly way to travel from the Baltics to Abu Dhabi is mainly suitable for those who can manage with just a small backpack. This is because it involves taking multiple flights with Wizz Air via Kutaisi. Prices for additional luggage can vary: a 10 kg checked-in bag may cost between 20 to 25 EUR per flight, and a 20 kg bag ranges from 25 to 40 EUR.
If you’re not already a member of the Wizz Air Discount Club (WDC), it might be more economical to join. The membership fee is €35 per year for 1-2 persons and €70 for 3-6 persons.
Wizz Air offers flights to Kutaisi from all Baltic capitals at competitive prices. From Kutaisi, Wizz Air also operates flights to Abu Dhabi, with 1-2 departures daily.
We checked the Wizz Air website and found a combination of return tickets from Tallinn to Abu Dhabi for only €135 in November. There’s a good chance you can find even more affordable options. However, keep in mind that this price doesn’t include checked luggage, and WDC membership is also needed.
